I have been a photographer for as long as I have been anything. From playing with my parents Instamatic and Polaroid cameras as a little kid to my first "real" camera in High School, capturing moments has been my joy. Photographing people has always been what I love most.
My degree is in Photojournalism and I began my career as a photojournalist. Working eight years on staff at the Chicago Sun Times I told people's stories with pictures. I was lucky enough to travel the world, meet politicians and rock stars, homeless people and professional athletes. I covered riots and births, street festivals and home fires. I was always amazed I actually got a pay check every Friday. It was the world's best job.
I left journalism to become a mother but my love for people and their stories has never changed. I have three fantastic children and I still have the world's best job. Now I am lucky enough to meet the great people that invite me into their lives to tell their stories. Though we never make front page news any more the images are just as meaningful.
Whether you are in the market for pictures to announce your new baby or your new business I would love to be the one to do your photographs. Variety is the spice of life. I am just as comfortable chasing your toddler through a park or photographing all the sides of a High School senior as I am making your professional portrait for your marketing materials. Check out my images, give me a call, I'd love to work together.
